What the Fuck is Mudhouse?
A little background on Mudhouse Records.....
Mudhouse was started in the summer of 2006 in order to document and promote some of the best music Tucson has to offer. So far, we have released records by the Beta Sweat, the Deludes, Army of Garbage, and Tom Walbank and the Ambassadors. The end of January will see the release of Golden Boots brand new record, "Winter of our Discotheque". It will be a limited edition, vinyl only shared-release by Mudhouse and Park the Van Records out of Philadelphia. February will see the release of a brand new record by alt-country act Fourkiller Flats. There are about 8 or 9 other Tucson bands that have committed to putting out records on Mudhouse, but our release schedule is a bit up in the air at the moment. Stay tuned as time rolls along.

Brand New Mudhouse Records Blog
Alright. Let's get serious. Tucson, AZ could very well become one of the most prolific American cities in terms of musical output in the next few years. Never before have we seen a time when so much good music is being produced by so many amazing groups and artists. As with all musical movements that spread beyond the limits of their own city or region, it only happens when a small group of dedicated, passionate peolpe work together to showcase to the rest of the world something they believe to be truly special. I think Tucson has one of the most vibrant and unique music scenes in all the country at the moment. Bands are starting to get out and tour more and more, whether it be throughout the US or Europe, and people on the outside are starting to get interested in what's happening here in our quirky little dustbowl of a town. Part of the purpose of this blog is to keep people informed as to what's happening with Mudhouse as well as the rest of the local music comminity at large. So, let's do this thing!
